The Everest three pass trek links Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake trek is quite a challenging and strenuous trek through breathtaking Himalayan scenery. See 4 of the world’s highest mountains – Everest 8,848m, Lhotse 8,516m Cho-yu 8201m, and Makalu 8,463m. Cross the Ngozumpa Glacier and head for Gokyo. Enjoy an adventurous experience as you cross the Kongma-La pass, Cho-La Pass and Renjo-La Pass which link some of the major valleys in the Everest Region. Witness unbeatable views of Mt. Everest from the stunning Gokyo Lake 5,350m and Kala Pathar 5,545m. After EBC descends down through dramatic landscapes. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1320m/4264ft)
Welcome to Kathmandu (1320m). Our representative will be at the airport. Upon arrival you will be heartily welcomed by him putting garland on your neck which means welcome to Nepal. Then you will be driven to the hotel by car. Rest and enjoy the day around the town.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2804m/9198ft) 45minues and trek to Phakding (2652m/8700ft) 3-4 hours
Early in the morning our guide with vehicle will pick you up from the airport to fly to Lukla. During the flight you will enjoy the mind-blowing scenery of Everest and Rolwaling region. After reaching Lukla it will take some time to arrange baggage then head to Phakding. On the way you will face natural diversity like Sherpa village, Jungle, Glacier River, Suspension bridge etc.

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11285ft) 5-6 hours
After our breakfast the trek begins following the bank of Dudhkoshi River till Jorsalle then crossing suspension bridge we head to Namche through the Jungle which is all the way up. Namche is a gateway of Everest and the biggest bazaar of the region.

Day 04: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
Namche bazaar is known as the capital of Khumbu region as well as gateway of Mt Everest. Perhaps Namche is the highest mountain city which is modernized and facilitated city like pub, bank, hospital, and bar all available. Today we do some side hiking trip by hiking to Everest view point Hotel (3880m) from where we can see spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Mt Lhotse, Nuptse, Mt Ama Dablam and many more.

Day 05: Trek from Namche to Tyangboche (3867m/12684ft) 5-6 hours
Today after breakfast we will begin our trek with extra energy. Due to the scenario of snowcapped mountain and alpine forest it makes automatic excitement/ After 3 hours walk, we will have lunch at Fungi Thanga then head up to Tyangboche by crossing rhododendron forest. Tyangboche is very popular for it’s more than a hundred-year-old monastery.

Day 06: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (3867m/12684ft) 5-6 hours
The trail goes down to Deboche then by crossing hanging bridge and up arrive Pangboche. From Pangboche gradually up two hours arrives Dingboche a big human settlement at the end.

Day 07: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4900m/16072ft) 2-3 hours.
Today we hike up to the view point of Chhukung Ri. From here you can enjoy a close view of Island Peak, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest and other many unnamed peaks close to us. It’s a flat and rough trail at the beginning and then gradually heads uphill to Chhukung at the height of 4900m.

Day 08: Trek from Chhukung to Kongma La BC (5000m/16408ft) 5-6 hours.
Today we start our walk slowly from Chhukung. The trail to Kongma La base camp is rough and steep, we have to take special care and take note of the directions given by the guide. The trail to Kongma La base camp is normally quiet and tranquil as few trekkers pass through this area. The views from here are exotic as you will be viewing the highest mountains in the region.

Day 09: Cross Kongma La pass (5535m/18155ft) and trek to Lobuche (4930m/16170ft) 6-7 hours.
Today is one of the biggest days of the trek. We start early in the morning from Kongma La base camp (known as Mehra La). We head straight up on a grassy rough trail; you will become slower automatically due to the altitude affects. The pass is great for views of some of the world’s most famous mountains. We’ll spend half an hour on the top of the pass to enjoy the mountain views and take a lot of photographs. We then descend down carefully in the loose, black pebbly trails before getting down to the grassy meadows. We cross the Khumbhu glacier and then after a final climb we reach Lobuche.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5160m/19929ft) 5-6 hours
After breakfast at Lobuche we walk toward Gorakshep which is mostly a flat trail and will take about 2-3 hours where we stay overnight. After a quick lunch at Gorakshep we will do day hike to Everest base camp for what you are coming. We took our cameras, water and small backpack to experience Everest base camp. This will take 5-6 hours for both ways including roaming time.

Day 11: Trek down from Gorakshep to Dzongla (4830m/15843ft) 6-7 hours
This morning we do early hike to Kalapathar (5550m/18210ft) to catch stunning view with sunrise. It will be freezing cold while climbing Kalapathar for that have to be prepared with proper clothing. Kalapathar is one of the best sunrise viewpoints with the closest Mountain above 8000m. All Everest ranges can be seen from here. After sunrise view, we back down to Gorakshep, have breakfast and all the way descent to Lobuche to get to Dzongla, we head straight down along the west ridge of Khumbhu glacier, then head up to the ridges towards the Lobuche peak. Eventually we reach the flat meadows of Dzongla. We spend the night here before heading to yet another famous and adventurous pass of the Everest Region.

Day 12: Dzongla to Chola Pass (5428m/17805ft) to Thangnak (4750m/15580ft) 6-7 hours
It’s an early start today with a morning walk up through grassy valleys before climbing up to the rough stone and rock trail. We keep on ascending towards the west of Dzongla until we reach the top of Chola pass (5428 m). Most of the time the top of Chola pass is covered in snow, with the added prayer flags; this leaves us with a picturesque landscape superb for photographs. After half an hour in this windyare, we start very carefully down the steep descent towards the base of Chugimala (another name of Chola pass). The trail then ascends up and down in the basin of Cholatse before we head down the final steep section through the gorge to Thangnak.

Day 13: Thangnak to Gokyo (4650m/15252ft) 4-5 hours
It’s a 4–5-hour trek to the beautiful Gokyo lakes via the rough, dry and icy Ngozumba glacier. The day is short and relaxing in the Gokyo lakeside where you will find yourself surrounded by Mountains.

Day 14: Hike to Gokyo ri (5420m/17778ft) and stay again Gokyo 4-5 hours.
The views around Gokyo are tremendous. For the best views we will climb Gokyo Ri (5357m) today. From here we will have a panoramic view of Cho Oyu, Gyanchung Kang, Everest, Lothse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee. After we enjoy the view, we will return back to Gokyo village for the night.

Day 15: Gokyo to Renjo La Pass (5338m) to Lungden about (4368m) 6-7 hours
After breakfast, we start to head towards Renjo La Pass (5338m) on the south side of Lake Gokyo. The trail heads up beside the edges of the Holy Lake. We keep on ascending slowly and steadily once more to get the top. After the final steep ascent up a rocky trail, our hard work is rewarded with mountain views of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Twache and other nearby peaks. After many photos up at the pass, we descend slowly and carefully down steps to Lungden. This beautiful alpine valley is a trade route for Tibetan yak caravans heading to Namche Bazaar. Rocky spires and glaciers loom beautifully above, often with wispy fast-moving clouds against a blue-blue sky.

Day 16: Trek from Lungden to Thame (3820m/12530ft) 4-5 hours
After breakfast, we trek down to Thame for more amazing views of snow-capped Numbhur, Tashi Leptcha, and Kwangde. We might encounter freshly immigrated Tibetan trader encampments along the way, giving you an amazing insight into the lifestyle of these people before the Tibetan Nomads turned in to brave Mountaineers. We head up to the Thame Gompa, a picturesque monastery set amongst the many homes of lamas and local people. It’s perched on the side of a hill overlooking the valley. This is the site for the spring celebration of the Mani Rimdu festival, held about the middle of May each year.

Day 17: Trek from Thame to Monjo (2835m/9300ft) 5-6 hours
The trail descends from here to Namche Bazar before we head up to the magnificent Syangboche airstrip. The route is down all the way to Monjo after the final ascent to Sagarmatha National Park Entry Check point.

Day 18: Trek down Monjo to Lukla 4-5 hours
Same way we trek down to Lukla while we are going up for the trekking. Lukla where we took our flight back to Kathmandu for the next day.

Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla 45 min.
Today after breakfast we proceeded to the airport for the flight back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive you will be driven to the hotel. Whole day you have time to rest shop and have good food.

Day 20: Fly back home.
Today we do farewell to you as you are flying back to home. We put you khada on your neck as a symbol of peace, protect and love from Nepal. See you again.
